Come on down to the Coosawattee River Tubing Company, located in the Eagle Mountain General Store at the Eagle Mountain entrance of the Coosawattee River Resort in Ellijay, Georgia. We are just an hour north of Atlanta, GA and just an hour south of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Here you can enjoy a fun-filled 2-1/2 hour inner tube float down the Coosawattee River in the North Georgia Mountains. Floating down the river is a great way to reduce stress and enjoy the peace and serenity of the mountains in Ellijay.
After your return, come on in to the Eagle Mountain General Store and grab a great barbecue burger, hot dog, or other great sandwich from our deli menu, or choose from a great variety of food from our deli and hang around in the picnic area chatting with friends. If you are planning on being in Ellijay or nearby Blue Ridge or Jasper on the weekend, join us on the weekend evenings for one of our many special events. We will be having lots of fun things happening at the Eagle Mountain General Store. There will be special events like Pickin' on the Porch, marshmallow roasts, and much more! If you are coming from out of town and plan to spend more than a day in our wonderful North Georgia mountains, check out our convenient villa and condo rentals, or just give us a call and we'll be happy to assist you with reservations for both tubing and lodging at the same time.
An alternative to rafting, tubing down the Coosawattee River is a lot of fun and for the low price of $15.00 per person, we furnish you a tube, a life vest, and shuttle service to and from the river. We also offer changing rooms. Group rates are available. Please contact us for more information. Tubing trips run daily during the season. Although reservations are not mandatory, trips do book up fast, so we strongly recommend you contact us for reservations and availability. To save yourself some time, please read our rules and regulations; print and sign the waiver prior to coming on your trip. We must have your waiver before leaving on the tubing excursion. Children must be at least 5 years of age.
We also offer kayak trips by reservation at a rate of $25.00 per trip which includes equipment and shuttle to and from the river.
The season opens May 1st and runs through October. Our schedule is as follows:
