Coosawattee River Tubing Company and The General Store at Eagle Mountain would like to thank everyone for a great 2011 tubing/kayak season. We are already making big plans for the 2012 season, so start thinking about your trip to the beautiful North Georgia mountains, and make sure you include a trip down the river with Coosawattee River Tubing Company. It will be a day of fun you will never forget!
PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED due to limited availability and our trips do book up fast.
RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE 706-635-1609, NO RESERVATIONS WILL BE MADE FROM E-MAIL ONLY. NOTE: TRIPS MAY BE CANCELLED DUE TO IN THE EVENT OF UNSTABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS, SO IF THIS IS A POSSIBILITY, PLEASE CONTACT THE STORE FOR TRIP STATUS UPDATES.
TUBING SEASON:
May 1st-Memorial Day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Memorial Day-Labor Day (7 days per week)
Labor Day-October 1st (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING DRIVING DIRECTIONS: IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING MAP QUEST OR GPS, TURN ONTO HWY. 382 (DISREGARD YOUR DIRECTIONS FROM THERE). IF TURNING ONTO 382 WEST, GO APPROXIMATELY 4 1/2 MILES AND GENERAL STORE WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT. IF TURNING ONTO 382 EAST, GO APPROXIMATELY 6 1/2 MILES AND GENERAL STORE WILL BE ON YOUR LEFT).
The 2011 tubing/kayak rates are as follows:
TUBING: $15.00 per person, plus tax (Discounted rates will be available for Property Owner plus 4 guests). (PLEASE NOTE: Discount will only be given upon presentation of Current POA ID card by the Property Owner).
KAYAK: $25.00 per person plus tax, per boat (1-person sit-on-top kayaks). BE PREPARED TO GET WET! No discounted rates available for kayak trips.
GROUP RATES: (Groups of 10 or more) $12.00 per person plus tax.
(All rates include shuttle to and fro river and all equipment needed)
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES: Each participant must be at least 5-yrs-old and anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Waiver must be completed for each participant (adults and children), must be initialed, signed, witnessed, and dated. Participants under 18 must have waiver completed as above and signed by parent or legal guardian. (Waivers can be downloaded under Rules and Regulations on our website and completed prior to arrival). Blank waivers will be available upon arrival if needed. Each participant will be issued a life vest and it is strongly recommended that each participant, regardless of age, wear the life vest the entire length of the trip. Georgia Law requires participants 10-years of age or younger to wear life vest at all times. Each participant on our trip MUST ride our shuttle to and fro river and no personal equipment will be transported). Do not take anything on the river with you (jewelry, cell phones, car keys, etc.) that you cannot live without. The river loves to swallow these up. We ask that you lock all personal items in your car and we will be glad to hold car keys at The General Store awaiting your return). Do not leave store with anything that you are not taking on the river as we cannot be responsible for items being left on bus!
EVERYONE RIDES ON THEIR ON TUBE (no double tubes) NO TYING TOGETHER OF TUBES, NO PETS, NO LARGE CONTAINERS (i.e. COOLERS, BACK PACKS, ETC.) AND ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES or ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES.The part of the Coosawattee River we run does have Class 1 and Class 2 whitewater (please note that this can vary with rainfall amounts). We do have enough whitewater for lots of fun and excitement, so younger children and adults with health problems, etc., please take this into consideration when planning your trip. (PLEASE NOTE THAT EXITING THE RIVER IS NOT ALLOWED OTHER THAN FOR A 911 MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR WEATHER RELATED ISSUES). A large part of your trip will be simply enjoying a relaxing lazy river float where you can soak up some sun and enjoy spending some real quality time with family, friends, and other tubers. While it is not required, we do recommend that you wear some type of shoes that attach to your feet (we do not recommend flip flops as you will probably lose them). Swimsuits, shorts/t-shirt, etc. should be taken into consideration regarding how much sun you want to get!

ONCE AGAIN, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU CONTACT THE STORE BY PHONE AT 706-635-1609 TO MAKE A RESERVATION AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE NEEDED, THEREFORE TRIPS CANNOT BE BOOKED SIMPLY BY AN E-MAIL MESSAGE!!!

Larger groups, such as church groups, are welcome at Coosawattee River Tubing Company with reservations, and we will be happy to assist you with lodging and scheduling a special trip for your group. Just give us a call.
Birthday Parties are also great at the General Store and we will be happy to help you with these as well.
